Moyo Kom

In the context of the conflict, the moyo kom (Cleansing of the body) ritual is performed to rid a person of cen, evil spirits of persons who died badly in the war. Young persons who returned from captivity, like 'Greg' pitcured here, undergo cleansing ceremonies to thwart cen from occurring, alleviating signs of cen such as nightmares, flashbacks and other signs of trauma.
